Lakhimpur police arrested three persons with fake currency

LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur Police seized fake currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 denominations with a face value of Rs 7 lakh on Thursday in reference to a case No 12/2020 under sections 120(B)/420/489(B)/489(C) IPC, registered in North Lakhimpur Police Station.

In this connection, police arrested three persons named Moinuddin, Mohidul Islam and Sahidul Islam and seized six mobile phones and a Maruti Alto car from their possession. “Further investigation regarding the case is in progress,” informed DSP (Headquarter) Runa Neog.
