Late Julie Borgohain Memorial Inter-School Quiz Competition held in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Late Julie Borgohain Memorial Inter-School Quiz Competition was organised at Sri Sathya Sai Vidhya Vihar Golaghat. The programme started with the ‘Om kar’ and lamp lighting. Lamp lighting was done by Chairman Dr. Giridhar Phukon. Veda chanting and the theme song were performed by school students. The inauguration programme was anchored by Upasna Saikia.

The inauguration speech was delivered by Principal Subhasis Rajkhowa. Later, floral tributes were paid to founder principal Julie Borgohain, late Apurba Kr Borgohain, and Bhagwan Sai Baba.

Quiz Master Akash Jyoti Sarmah, Assistant Professor (English) of JDSG College, and Nilotpal Dutta Jr., Assistant H.P.B. College, were felicitated. Quiz Master Akash Jyoti Sarmah conducted his quiz in his own style.

Students from various institutions took part in the quiz. The first prize was bagged by Abhinab Saikia and Abhinav Dutta of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya, the second prize by Syeda Affaf Muin and Dhritiman Nibir Gogoi of Sri Sathya Sai Vidhya Vihar, and the third by Akhilesh Sarmah and Ankur Jyoti Tamuly of D.R. College. Prize distribution was conducted, and a vote of thanks by Romen Gogoi, assistant teacher, and Mangal Aarati was performed by Bipul Rajkumar (joint secretary managing committee).
