Leading Physician Dr. Miladev Goswami Passes Away in Dibrugarh

DOOMDOOMA: Dr. Miladev Goswami, a resident of GNB Road and president, Assam Science Society, Doomdooma branch, breathed his last at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh on Monday evening due to post COVID complications. He was 69 and is survived by his wife, two sons and a host of relatives.

Born in Chakalaghat in Nagaon district, he had his early education there and passed MBBS from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 1974. After a short stint as Government Medical Officer in Kokrajhar district, he joined Doomdooma- India Limited's Hospital at Doomdooma. He also worked in Hindustan Unilever Limited, Personal Products Factory as Medical Consultant. Dr Goswsmi was also a member of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Doomdooma Branch and offered his valuable services in promoting health care facilities in the region. He was very enterprising and had a small workshop of his own where he did all sorts of work of carpenter, painter, electrician and mason as his pastime.

His death has cast a pall of gloom and was widely mourned by organizations like Assam Science Society, Doomdooma Branch, Doomdooma Rotary Club, Lions Club of Doomdooma Tea City, Doomdooma Press Club, among others.
