KOKRAJHAR: On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, a lecture on ‘Saving natural resources’ was organized by the unit of Red Horns Division at the community hall, Nahrani along Indo-Bhutan border recently. The conducting officer briefed the locals, students and teachers about the adverse effects of indiscriminate deforestation, illegal poaching, and illegal occupation of forest land and rapid degradation of natural resources on local flora and fauna. With such activities, Indian Army is looking forward to incline the mindset of young generation belonging to an area known for deforestation and poaching towards conserving natural resources. Around 120 students and teachers were part of the lecture.
