JAGUN: The 10-year-old boy who was kidnapped from Tipong village area of Lekhapani on Thursday evening, was brought home safely by Lekhapani police team with the help of local villagers. According to source, on Thursday evening, Istaharul Hak (10), son of Izul Hak, went out of his house with Lohit Saikia (15), son of Pulen Saikia, a resident of Tipong village, and did not return home.

Later, the kidnappers managed to tie up and hide Istaharul in the dense forest behind Tipong High School. They demand a ransom of Rs 12 lakh. After the missing complaint was filed in the nearby police station, Lekhapani Police personnel led by Officer in-charge Puronjoy Borah, initiated search operation in the village area and with the help of local villagers, finally rescued the boy around 11:30 pm late night. His abductors were taken into custody.
