Leopard captured, later released in Golaghat district

GOLAGHAT: A leopard that had been creating terror at Betioni Kakoti Gaon under Golaghat district, was captured by the forest officials with the help of local people on Thursday morning.

According to report, the leopard had been creating terror in the region and the people of the area were living in fear. Local people reported the matter to the forest department and the forest officials put a cage in the area. Finally on Thursday morning, the leopard was caged. Local people gathered in large numbers to see the captured leopard. Later, the forest officials took the leopard to the Nambor Reserve Forest and released it.
