Loan Mela organized for migrant persons at Udalguri DC parade ground

UDALGURI: A loan mela was organized at Udalguri DC parade ground under the aegis of Udalguri District Administration in cooperation with BTC administration. A total of 12 bank branches of the district took part in the loan mela. Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia interacted with the persons who visited the mela to take loans. He emphasized that such loan mela will help to engage migrant workers who have returned to the State. Bhaskarjyoti Manta the secretary of BTC said that the loan mela will help the migrant workers to get loans and become self reliant. In the meeting DIPRO in charge Debashis Borthakur and other officials were present. Through this mela, a total of 62 persons and self help groups were provided loans. A total of 43 self help groups, 10 Mudra loans, 8 KCC and a swayam loan was provided to loan aspirants. In the meeting, schemes of agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery etc were also apprised to the people.
