GOLAGHAT: In view of the recent spike in number of COVID-19 positive cases detected in the district of Golaghat and considering the safety of the people, Golaghat district administration on Wednesday declared lockdown in the Golaghat Municipal Town area.

In a statement, DIPRO, Golaghat, said that the lockdown would be enforced from July 9 from 7 pm to 7 pm of July 17. During the lockdown, no ration shop would be allowed to open except medical, electricity, PHE and officials engaged for sanitization. Lockdown should be enforced ruthlessly and the district administration will decide which petrol depot will be open during the lockdown. There will be no containment zone during lockdown.
