Madhabilata Literary Award conferred to Dr Bhringeswar Sarma

TINSUKIA: The prestigious biennial Madhabilata Literary Award 2021-2023 will be conferred on renowned Assamese novelist, short story writer, satirist and the Chief Medical Officer of Coal India Hospital, Margherita Dr Bhringeswar Sarma. Instituted in 2005, Madhabilata Literary Trust of Digboi has been presenting Madhabilata Literary Award to a renowned litterateur of Tinsukia district and announced the award for the year 2021-2022 at Tinsukia on Saturday. Sarma has authored 16 books so far. The managing trustee of Madhabilata Literary Trust, Atul Chandra Sarma in a press statement informed that the award will be presented to Dr Sarma at a function to be held at Tinsukia in the month of October
