Demow: Magh Bihu was celebrated in Demow and its surroundings areas with fanfare from January 13 to January 15. On January 13 was Uruka and on that day people thronged the markets to buy fish, meat along with other essential items required for the community feast arranged in Demow and its surrounding areas on that day. People enjoyed during the community feast on Uruka night. Mejis were burnt in the morning of January 14. A Kareng Ghar-shaped bhela ghar was prepared for Bhogali Bihu in Pathalibam Gohain Gaon near Demow.

Under the patronage of Saragua VDP Party and in association with Saragua Gabharu Dal and the people of Saragua Gaon, the Bhogali Utsav-2021 was organized at the Saragua Mazmajia Playground on January 14 and January 15 for two days. Different programmes were organized on both the days. Artists performed in the cultural evening on January 15. The traditional mela at Dehajan was held and it was attended by a large number of people who enjoyed watching the famous cock fight.
