KOKRAJHAR: BPF president Hagrama Mohilary has predicted the fall of BJP in Assam after the forthcoming Assembly election and said they (Mahajoot) will change the political scenario of the State.
Addressing the guardians' meet held at Youth BPF office in Kokrajhar on Saturday evening, the BPF supremo said that the BJP had been claiming to form the next government with 100+ legislators but things will be different this time and the grand alliance with seven regional parties led by the Congress will come to power with 100+ legislators. He said the BJP will sink for its short temper and they would be badly defeated in upper, lower and north Assam in the 1st phase of Assembly polls.
Mohilary claimed that the BPF will take over the government of BTC after Assembly election and it is not a surprise. He said some of the MCLAs of UPPL (United People's Party Liberal) and BJP had been in communication with the BPF and they will come to their party after election. He said he will not disclose the names of MCLAs who are intending to join the BPF but asked the UPPL to find out their members who are 'running away'.
