Major operation performed in Assam Medical College and Hospital

DIBRUGARH: The dawn of a new era in emergency services in the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMC&H) took place after the first emergency major operation of Appendicular Perforation carried out on Tuesday in the newly-built operation theatre in the Causality Complex. The OT was built at the causality complex with the support of Brahmaputra Chemicals and Polymer Limited (BCPL) under its CSR fund.

Principal, AMC&H, Dr Sanjib Kakoti, while conveying his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the BCPL authority for generous support in this venture, also congratulated Dr David Pegu and Dr Razvi Das, both Assistant Professors of the Department of Surgery, who carried out the operation with the active cooperation from an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesiology Department, Dr Manjit Shyam.
