Makum Regional Students' Union held its annual convention

TINSUKIA: The Makum Regional Students' Union held its annual convention at Jugal Kishore Keshan Bhavan, Makum on Friday with Robin Baruah in the chair.

A 56-member executive committee was constituted. The union unanimously selected Proben Phukan and Shiva Das as president and general secretary respectively. The former president of Tinsukia District Students' Union, Binoy Dubey has been nominated as chief advisor along with three advisors- Jitendra Chutia, Rantu Borsaikia and Hiranya Moran.

Among the dignitaries present in the meeting were Rana Kr Changmai, former i/c Principal of Tinsukia College and Tarangmalla Baruah, vice-president of Tinsukia Zila Sahitya Sabha. The programme also witnessed felicitation of meritorious students who excelled in the last HSLC and HS examinations.
