BONGAIGAON: Crime Intelligence branch of Railway Protection Force from Rangiya, in association with New Bongaigaon RPF, arrested a man from Bongaigaon for illegally selling railway tickets on Saturday.
The accused, Nayan Jain (37), was picked up for allegedly procuring and supplying railway tickets. "He runs a travel agency named Jain Tour and Travels where he buys and sells railway and flight tickets," RPF Crime Intelligence Branch Inspector Pawan Kumar said.
"We received information about this illegal selling of railway tickets. So we launched a sudden operation. A team of Rangiya RPF, in association with New Bongaigaon RPF, today arrived at the shop suddenly and picked him up," Pawan said.
One laptop, printer, one mobile phone and two dongles were seized by RPF. The RPF registered a case under section 123/2020/us/143 RA against Nayan. Pawan Kumar said that as per their information, Nayan Jain had sold total 177 railway tickets for Rs 5,49,765 in the last few days.
