Man held for fake currency racket in Bongaigaon, Fake notes worth Rs 2,17,900 recovered

Bongaigaon: Based on a source input of DSP (HQ), a Police team led by CI, Kachugaon apprehended one criminal involved in Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN). The apprehended person was identified as Saddam Hussain (23 yrs) son of Nasir Uddin, Village: Parerchar Pt. II, P.S. Abhayapuri, Dist: Bongaigaon.

Reportedly, he is a member of Borigaon Goan Panchayat, Abhayapuri, Bongaigaon.

One scooty bearing Regd. No. AS-19H 7880 with FICN worth Rs. 2,17,900, one Stamp of Borigaon GP, Voter ID card, AADHAAR card, PAN card and one VIVO V9 mobile phone have been seized from his possession.

Further search in different areas of Bongaigaon District has been carried out.

One printer machine and one bundle of Rs 100 have been recovered from the house of one Abdul Awal of Simlabari Part-I under Meresar PS, Bongaigaon District.

Abdul Awal is presently absconding.

Further investigation is going on.
