Man killed by bike-lifters in the paddy field of Kathgaon

DOOMDOOMA: Doomdooma Police on Monday recovered the body of Prasannajit Guha (42), a resident of Main Road and father of two children – one 7 years old and the other 3 years old - in the paddy field of Kathgaon near Tingrai under Digboi Police Station.

Prasannajit was missing since March 6. According to police, he went out of his house in the morning. He was abducted by two bike-lifters after they snatched his bike and allegedly murdered on the same day. The bike-lifters then sold his bike to one Samel Orang of Tongona gaon under Kakapather PS for Rs 20,000.

Meanwhile, police recovered the bike and arrested Samel Orang along with one of the accomplices of the bike-lifters, Krishna Koya of Tarajan TE. A case has been registered against them (no.67/2019 U/S 365) and further investigation is on to apprehend the main culprits.
