Manas National Park to remain closed for 3 days on April 1-3

KOKRAJHAR: The tourism activity in the Manas National Park (MNP) would be suspended for three days on April 1-3 due to census operation of rhinos inside the park and all tourists would not be allowed to enter or visit on these days.

Sources from Field Director, Manas Tiger Reserve Dr. Vaibhav C. Mathur said the Wildlife Warden, Assam had ordered to carry out estimation of rhinos at Manas National Park on April 1 to 3 vide his letter no. WL/FG.35 (14), Rhino Census, 2015-16-22. He said all the tourism activities will remain suspended within its territorial jurisdiction on April 1-3.
