Mangaldai civic body awarded by Government of India

MANGALDAI: In Swachh Survekshan 2022, amongst the 14 Urban Local Bodies from Assam, Mangaldai Municipality Board (MMB) was awarded the 'Best Citizens Feedback participation' in North-eastern Zone category at a function organized on October 1 at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. Mangaldai Municipality Board was also awarded at the recently-held Indian Swachhata League (ISL) which was for garbage-free cities. The Swachh Survekshan 2022 is a national-level assessment conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore gave away the award to chairperson of Mangaldai Municipality Board, Nirmali Devi Sarma accompanied by Executive Officer Rini Hazarika, Vice Chairman Achyut Das and CPO, Heramba Kakati. President of India Draupadi Murmu along with other dignitaries also graced the function.
