Mangaldai Police arrested three drug peddlers

MANGALDAI: Acting on a tip off, a team of Mangaldai Police led by Officer in Charge Inspector Mukut Kakati seized one Scooty bearing registration number AS 13 Q 3496 along with five containers with suspected brown suger weighing 7.23 grams and empty containers from one drug peddler Baharul Islam, son of Islam Ali of Mangaldai Ward no 5 who led the police to the arrest of Abdul Rakib, son of late Abdul Rejjek of Mangaldai Ward no 4 and recovery of 55 bottles of banned cough Syrup, 5 empty containers and one syringe. The police also seized one car bearing registration number AS 13 P 5616 and a cash amount of Rs 42500 from his possession. The arrested accused drug peddler also led the police to the arrest of another drug peddler Abdul Nisar.
