Mass rally on Har Ghar Tiranga organized in Haflong

HAFLONG: The Government of India has started the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in the entire country under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence. As a part of celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a mass rally on 'Har Ghar Tiranga' was organized by North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) at Haflong on Thursday.

The rally was participated by all the heads of the departments, DDOs, staff of departments, SHGs, NGOs and students. The rally began from council gate and went around the statue of Veer Sambudhan Phonglo (freedom fighter of India) at Haflong market and concluded at the council parking.

Early in the morning as part of the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahatsov, prabhat pheri was also organized from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan, Haflong to Council Rotary by ST Morcha BJP, Dima Hasao. Minister Nandita Gorlosa took part in prabhat pheri.
