May Day celebrated at Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: As a part of celebration of International Labour Day, the Sonitpur district chapter of National Human Rights Commission and Crime Control Bureau felicitated some people of the greater Jamugurihat area, including Fakira Mahato, a rickshaw puller, and Jiten Bora, an electrician who have been rendering selfless services to the society. Along with them, employees of Kanyaka Bahumukhi Krishi Pam, THB college and the employees of Jamugurihat-based fire brigade were also felicitated today, stated Mrinmoy Kumar Nath, media convenor.

During the felicitation programme Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika, Pallabita Mahanta, Mayor of Jamuguri municipal board and Anjan Kalita, Deputy Mayor besides others were present.
