Around 300 Hindu families, 30 Muslim families and 10 Christian families live together in Turukpara village. Saikh has five sons and three daughters, and all of them agreed for this donation. Arif Hussain, Saikh's younger son said that in their area, people of different religious faiths live together in peace and harmony.
"Local Hindu families faced difficulties during cremation due to lack of proper land. When the local people requested for land, my father donated land for cremation," Arif said. About 60 years ago, Saikh had donated 10 bighas of land to the State Government for the State Veterinary Hospital in Boko.
