Media interactive programme held at Lakhimpur Commerce College

LAKHIMPUR: An interactive session with media persons from print, electronic and online platforms were held at Lakhimpur Commerce College on Saturday. Organized by the Media Cell of the college, the meeting was chaired by Dr. Lohit Hazarika, Principal of the college. The objective of the meeting was explained by Professor Sazzad Hussain, convener of Media Cell.

Addressing the media persons, Principal Dr Lohit Hazarika sought the cooperation and suggestions from the media fraternity for the overall development of the college and presented a brief account of various programmes implemented in the college in the last one year time. He updated the media persons about the progress of works concerning the assessment and accreditation of the college by NAAC and the plans of celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the college from mid-this year. Kumud Baruah, senior scribe and president of North Lakhimpur Press Club (NLPC), in his speech expressed satisfaction at the pace of progress achieved by the college in the last one year's time. He asked the teachers to adopt and apply innovative ways to impart quality education in the college.
