Silchar: A meeting was held to discuss about strategic planning for effective implementation of newly launched "Swa-Nirbhar Nari Atma-Nirbhar Axom", a convergence scheme under MGNREGA with DAY-NRLM. The meeting held at DRDA conference hall here on Monday, guided and enlightened the participants on the newly launched scheme "Swa-Nirbhar Nari Atma-Nirbhar Axom". The Panchayat and Rural Development Department deputed a team comprising three officials headed by Joint Director, SA Laskar, for guiding the officials of Cachar district for implementation of the scheme.
President of Cachar Zilla Parishad Amitabha Rai appreciated the newly launched scheme and hoped that it would bring significant changes in the lives of rural poor. Moreover, he exuded optimism that the scheme would bring about a sea change in the rural economy and livelihoods promotion of rural people, which is the crying need of the hour in view of the present COVID-19 situation.
CEO of Cachar Zilla Parishad Dipshikha Dey asked the BDOs, BPMs Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, Accredited Engineers and other officials to work in tandem for speedy implementation of the programme. She also said that this is a dream project of the government and for time bound implementation, all stakeholders at block and district level need to work in a coordinated manner for better implementation of the programme in the district. Junior Engineer, P&RD, Dhrubojyoti Sharma highlighted the key points and know-how of the newly launched programme. Major block level stakeholders such as BDOs, BPM (ASRLM), Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, Accredited Engineer and other officials attended the programme.
