Meet held to discuss process of serving mid-day meals at Dibrugarh DC office

Dibrugarh: A meeting regarding the process of serving mid-day meals to the schools under Primary Education Block located within a radius of 25 km from the central point of Dibrugarh from a centrally established kitchen, which was to start from Friday, was held at the DC office on Wednesday. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha ordered the office bearers of The People’s Welfare Society, “ the one responsible for getting the meals ready to make sure that mid-day meals of a standard quality were being delivered to each such school on time. He also ordered the Block Primary Education officers to inspect the entire process in the schools that came under respective blocks. Jha also ordered the members of the respective School Management Committees and the chief teachers to discharge their duties efficiently in the said area. He also asked the Block Education officers to generate adequate awareness about the fact that the move would not in any away affect the employment or salary of the existing cooks of the schools.
