Meet on implementation of Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace Act held

MORIGAON: A district level meeting on the Implementation of Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act—2013 was organized by Women & Child Development Office, Morigaon in collaboration with district administration at DC conference hall on Friday. The meeting kicked off with the welcome address by the district officer, W &CD, Morigaon Ahidul Islam in presence of Deputy Commissioner Devashis Sharma, ADC Dyotiva Bora, CA, OSC, Morigaon Suwansree Das, Advocate Niranjan Borua, Morigaon and Lalita Deka, Gender Specialist, DHEW. Senior Advocate Niranjan Borua delivered a speech on the topic “Importance of Understanding Sexual Harassment, Meaning of Workplace, Employee and Employers in the context of POSH Act-2013” at length in the meeting. Lalita Deka, Gender Specialist spoke on rules, duties and responsibilities of IC and local committee and sharing of formates in the meeting. Later CA, OSC, Morigaon provided the vote of thanks in the meeting. The meeting was attended by the heads of all departments.
