Meet on observing District Day held in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: A meeting in connection with the District Day observation in Lakhimpur was held with the District Officers of the government departments. The District Day (Jila Divas) of Lakhimpur will be celebrated on October 2 with a daylong colourful events. The meeting was organized in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office under the management of ADC Manorama Morang.

In the meeting, duties and responsibilities to be shouldered and performed by the government departments, while observing the District Day, were distributed in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan. The DC issued strict instructions to the District Officers of the government departments to carry out their responsibilities without any discrepancy and to ensure public cooperation and gathering in the programmes of the event. The meeting was also attended by District Development Commissioner Manoj Kumar Baruah, SP Bedanta Madhav Rajkhowa, Dhakuakhana SDO (Civil) Arindam Baruah.
