Dibrugarh: A meeting of city-level CIDF implementation and monitoring committee to review the progress of schemes taken under City Infrastructure Development Fund was held at the conference hall of DC’s office on Monday. The meeting chaired by Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha was attended by Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan and District Development Commissioner Sanjoy Dutta along with other members of the committee.
Reviewing the progress of schemes taken under CIDF, Deputy Commissioner Jha instructed all works departments to submit an action calendar of each scheme and to ensure full utilization of the working season for speedy completion of the schemes. The committee has decided to drop schemes of construction of pucca bazaar and vegetable market at New Market, construction of multi-level car parking at HS Road, slum development at Harijan Colony and installation of high mast light in Dibrugarh town area taken under CIDF due to some technical issues.
Further, the committee has also approved several new schemes such as installation of CCTV at 120 locations of Dibrugarh, installation of streetlight at Mancotta, construction of statue of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, construction of citizen-friendly SP office, installation of traffic signals among others. Deputy Commissioner Jha also instructed all officials concerned to submit proposals of the newly-approved schemes at the earliest.
