Meeting held on preparation for Independence Day in Margherita

TINSUKIA: Margherita subdivision has geared up to celebrate Independence Day and a meeting was held on Thursday at the conference hall of the office of the Block Development Officer, Margherita to discuss the preparedness adhering to COVID protocol with Palash Rajkumar Ahom, ADC (i/c), Margherita, in the chair in presence of all departmental heads, including SDPO Partha Pratim Das, IOCL, Coal India Limited, CRPF Digboi and representatives from various tea gardens.

The responsibilities and duties regarding the arrangements such as security, thermal scanners, hoisting of the National Flag, light arrangements, parades from different contingents, stage arrangements, drinking water supply, bio-toilets, seating plan, press and prize distribution were allotted among the different departments. Palash Rajkumar Ahom stressed the proper coordination among the different heads to ensure the smooth conduct of the Independence Day celebration at Margherita town.
