HAFLONG: To discuss regarding achieving the target of 100 per cent COVID-19 vaccination in Dima Hasao district, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Dima Hasao convened a meeting with various religious leaders, members of Apex bodies at the DC conference hall, Haflong on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Lalrohlu Khiangte in presence of Joint Director Health Services, Dima Hasao, Dr. Dipali Barman and Additional Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Marina Changsan and other officials.
As part of the Good Governance Week, the Health and Family Welfare Department has organized a Mega COVID-19 vaccination drive from December 20 to December 24, 2021. Those who are yet to get their second vaccination, either Covishiled or Covaxin, may visit their nearest health centres during these days. There are also provisions for those who have not taken their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
During the meeting, stress was laid on encouraging people to complete their COVID vaccination doses in order to prevent the spread of the deadly virus and its variants.
