Meeting of District Mineral Foundation Trust held in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The meeting of the District Mineral Foundation Trust was held in Lakhimpur in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan, Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, Bihpuriya MLA Dr. Amiya Kumar Bhuyan, representatives of Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah and Dhakuakhana MLA Naba Kumar Doley, ADC Sanjib Doloi, Lakhimpur district BJP president Phanidhar Baruah and the members of the trust.

In the meeting, the progress of the implementation of the developmental schemes adopted as per resolution taken in the Trust meeting held on January 6 of the current year was reviewed. The two projects of plantation, implemented with the investment of the fund granted by the Trust for the beautification of Lakhimpur by-pass and Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital, have already been completed. On the other hand, the construction of the shooting range at Madhavdev University is about to be completed within a short period.

Similarly, the distribution of LED bulbs among all the LP Schools of the district, with the investment of the fund of the Trust has also been completed. The Trust has also granted funds to set up a botanical garden at North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous) and the implementation of the project is going on at present in full swing. The meeting took a slew of resolutions to implement various developmental projects under three LACs of the district.
