Mega Health Mela Organized in a Remote Area of Dima Hasao

Haflong: To reach out to the people of the remotest area of Dima Hasao, the District Health Society and Langting Block Primary Health Centre (PHC), in association with 11 Assam Rifles, organized a mega health mela at Birangana Jaya Thaosen Memorial Dimasa Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Hajadisa, about 50 km from Maibang on Tuesday.
Samuel Changsan, Executive Member, NC Hills Autonomous Council in-charge Medical, inaugurated the health mela as the chief guest while Projit Hojai, MAC, NCHAC, inaugurated the Deworming campaign.
Doctors from Haflong and Langting attended the health mela and as many as 257 patients were treated and provided free medicines. EM Samuel appreciated the team of doctors and medical staff for their effort to provide medical care to the Langting-Dibu area and appealed to the people of the area to avail such opportunities.
