Merbangchuba VCDC dismisses allegations of corruption

TANGLA: The Khalingduar block Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has dismissed allegations of corruption and misappropriation of funds in the 34 No. Khalingduar BTC constituency.

BPF party leader Dwithun Boro said that there was visible growth and development in terms of road infrastructure and implementation of MGNREGA schemes. The former chairman of Merbangchuba VCDC, Petrus Mushahary, while referring to reports in section of media regarding incomplete works of the project construction of Anganwadi Centre building at Thasobari village under Merbangchuba VCDC during 2017-18 in Udalguri district, said, "We have received only Rs. 74,112 out of the estimated amount of Rs 5,00,000 and accordingly, the foundation work has been completed." He further said that the works would be completed once the funds were disbursed.
