UDALGURI: The Udalguri district committee of All Hindi Bhasi Yuva Chhatra Parishad felicitated meritorious students of the Hindi-speaking community who passed the last HSLC and HS exam.
The felicitation programme began with poem recitation by Gurucharan Rajbhar. The programme was presided over by Rajendra Prasad Chouhan, the president of Udalguri district Hindi Bhasi Yuva Chhatra Parishad. Baidyanath Upadhyaya, writer and journalist, appealed to the Hindi-speaking community to avoid divisive attitude and to nurture the habit of reading in children. State PHE Minister Rihon Daimari felicitated the meritorious students and urged them to grab the opportunity of education. Buddhiman Subba of All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union, Udalguri district committee, stressed the need of education among the Hindi-speaking community. The meeting was organized with the cooperation of Udalguri Anchalik Hindi Bhasi Yuva Chhatra Parishad.
