MORIGAON: Morigaon district administration on Monday started the first in the series of the Loan Mela planned in order to identify the avenues of employment and benefits which can be availed by migrant workers under different schemes.
The Loan Mela was based specifically on the skills of the returning migrant workers. Additionally, the programme was clubbed with an awareness and training session on agricultural and allied sector, including KCC loans, and exploring opportunities in MSME sector and dissemination of information under different government schemes for employment and wage generation. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora inaugurated the Loan Mela at the AP meeting hall of Bhurbandha block. More than 50 migrant workers took part in the Loan Mela.
