Mini Marathon Organized at Air Force Station Tezpur

Tezpur: A mini marathon was conducted on Sunday at Air Force Station Tezpur. The race was flagged off by Air Cmde Tejpal Singh VM, AOC Air Force Station Tezpur. A total of 300 air warriors along with families enthusiastically participated in the run.

The mini-marathon was organized as part of the diamond jubilee celebration of HQ EAC. The Headquarters Eastern Air Command was established in Shillong on June 10, 1963 under the Command of Air Vice Marshal Shivdev Singh, PVSM. The Command over the years has immensely contributed towards humanitarian relief besides air operations.

Air Cmde Tejpal Singh VM during his address on the occasion stressed the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and encouraged the air warriors towards fitness and sports activities. He also said that sports helped to inculcate camaraderie.
