Minister Atul Bora unveils Statue of Birangana Sati Sadhani in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: The State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Friday unveiled the statue of Birangana Sati Sadhani at Bongaon in Golaghat district. The 7-feet tall statue has been constructed under the initiative of Bongaon Protimurti Unnayan Samiti and Chutia Students' Union of Bokakhat division with an amount of Rs 4.75 lakh. During the ceremony, Minister Atul Bora assured the people to establish a university in Golaghat town in the name and memory of Sati Sadhani and said a statue would be erected in Bokakhat area.

In the programme delegates of Chutia Students' Union Mohen Bora, Prasanta Saikia, Lachit Kakoti along with the leaders of several ethnic organizations like ATASU, TMPK, AASCSU, AJYP, AASCYP, ATTSA took part.
