Minister Chandan Brahma holds meet of district-level COVID-19 task force

BAKSA: State Tourism Minister Chandan Brahma attended a district-level task force meeting at Mushalpur on Tuesday as a district in-charge of Baksa.

The meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Baksa, Ranjan Sarma. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sarma said that as of now, total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the district was 985, out of which 612 patients had recovered, 3 died and 370 are still under treatment in four hospitals of the district i.e. Dr Ravi Boro Civil Hospital, Mushalpur, Model Hospital at Barama, Nagrijuli and Salbari respectively. He also said that the ongoing work of the five-bedded ICU room at Dr Ravi Boro Civil Hospital, Mushalpur, would be completed soon.

In the meeting, the minister reviewed the functioning of four COVID-19 hospitals of the district. He also asked the officials whether the supply of free rice to the beneficiaries under Antyadoya scheme was going smoothly or not. He also asked officials to prepare the list of erosion-affected people for the allocation of rehabilitation grant.
