NALBARI: Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah, in presence of Nalbari District Commissioner Varnali Deka, launched the ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ as part of ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ at Natya Mandir Nalbari on Tuesday.

The minister explained to the SHG members coming from various parts of the district about the campaign and sought everyone’s cooperation for the smooth implementation of this programme. He said that a handful of soil or rice will be collected from every nook and corner of the district in earthen pots under this campaign and the collected soil will be part of the ‘Amrit Vatika’ near the National War Memorial in Delhi and the remaining soil will be utilized to build the Swahid Kanaklata Baruah University and various constructions at the block levels.

Nalbari DC Varnali Deka briefly described the process and she urged everyone to actively participate in the campaign. She further mentioned that the motto of ‘Amrit Kaal’ is to build India into a super power and the ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will build integrity among all the people of India.
