Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal visits schools in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation as well as Guardian Minister of Kokrajhar district Ashok Singhal on Thursday took part as an external evaluator of the Gunotsav in Kokrajhar. The minister visited Rashtriya Bhasha Vidyapeeth School, Kokrajhar Girls’ Higher Secondary School and Adharsha Vidyalaya and interacted with the students and teachers. The minister inspected the classrooms of the schools and gauged the academic and innovative talents of the students. He also inspected the teaching-learning materials prepared by the students in addition to evaluating their academic performances. The minister was accorded a warm welcome by the school authority.

The minister was accompanied by BTC Executive Member Reo Reoa Narzihary, MCLA Rajib Brahma, senior officials from district administration and education department. He attended the core committee meetings of the BJP at district BJP office and held meetings with district and block level office bearers of the party at Bodoland Guest House where he also met the people. He also visited the house of Padmashree Dr. Mangalsing Hazoary, former Principal of Government College of Teachers’ Education, Kokrajhar at his Tengapara residence and felicitated him.
