Minister Pijush Hazarika takes stock of flood situation in Sivasagar district

SIVASAGAR: Assam Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika visited Sivasagar district to take stock of the flood situation on Monday. Accompanied by Naharkatia MLA Taranga Gogoi, former MLAs and BJP leaders Sushanta Borgohain and Kushal Dowari, Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar Megha Nidhi Dahal and officials of the Water Resources Department, Hazarika visited areas like Sanibaria Bazaar, Barpathar, Deori Gaon and Dehing Kalghar under Thowra constituency and took stock of floods and erosion situations. The minister also interacted with the local people and heard their grievances. He directed the Water Resources Department to take all necessary measures without causing the locals any undue inconvenience.
