Minister Piyush Hazarika visits anganwadi centres in Tinsukia District

DOOMDOOMA: Minister of Water Resources, Information and Public Relations, Piyush Hazarika visited Kaptanchuk Primary School and Adarsh Anganwadi Centre under Hapjan Education Block in Tinsukia District on Tuesday. The minister distributed fruits and vegetables among the students present. He also visited Gelapukhuri Adarsh Anganwadi Center No. 2 under Chabua constituency and interacted with the students present. The Minister thereafter inspected the Amrit Sarovar project under construction at the premises of the Krishi Bijnan Kendra under Chabua constituency today and took stock of the progress of the work.

Later, the minister attended the 40th Tinsukia Central Me-Dam-Me-Phi celebration organized by Tinsukia Tai Culture Centre on the occasion of Me-Dam-Me-Phi, the glorious spiritual tradition of the Tai Ahoms. They prayed for the overall welfare of the entire nation, the country and the State.
