Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma asks officers to implement projects properly

KOKRAJHAR: Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Minister of Handloom & Textile, Sericulture, Bodoland Welfare and Soil Conservation of Assam, held a review meeting with senior officials of the Soil Conservation department, BTR, in presence of Pramod Boro, CEM, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, Deputy CEM, in the conference hall of BTC Secretariat, Kokrajhar on Friday.

Discussion was held on centrally funded schemes like Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), PMKSY and SWDC. Rajesh Prasad, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, said that projects should be completed as per guidelines of the Government of India to get more funds.

Minister UG Brahma in his speech said that the performance of the Soil Conservation department of BTR was either good or bad. Therefore, he requested all officers to do their duty sincerely, whether in BTR or Assam.

The meeting was also attended by EMs- Ranjit Basumatary, Dharma Narayan Das and Rakesh Brahma, Lawrence Islary, MLA, Principal Secretary i/c BTC Naren Ch. Basumatary, Pallabi Pukhan, Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Soil Conservation, Assam, CHD of Soil Conservation and officials of Soil Conservation department.
