Minor dies under mysterious circumstances in Udalguri

UDALGURI: A 14-year old minor, resident of Begunbari village under Dimakuchi Police Station in Udalguri who was working as a servant for the past three months in the residence of physician, Dr Rajiv Haloi located in Guwahati died under mysterious circumstances. The physician claimed that the minor had committed suicide but the boy’s family members refused to believe this and alleged that their son was a victim of cold-blooded murder. The activists of All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) and All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) have demanded inquiry into the matter and punishment of the guilty. The activists of AASAA also lodged an FIR against the physician, alleging him of murdering the minor boy.
