Minor raped in Chirang on the evening of August 15

Bongaigaon: Panic prevailed in Chirang following the alleged rape of a minor girl. The incident took place in the Kajalgaon area of Chirang on the evening of August 15. The victim, a resident of Kajalgaon area and a student of Class VI, was dragged from in front of her house into a Bolero car by two persons. They took her to Bartalowa flyover nearby and allegedly raped her in the car. But the girl somehow managed to save her life and fled away from the car. She was rescued by local people who took her to the nearby Dhaligaon PS.

Police sent her for medical check-up and registered a case (case no 176/19). Talking to media persons, Bijit Da Dhora, OC, Dhaligaon PS, said that police investigation was on and the culprits would be nabbed soon.
