MLA of Nalbari LAC Jayanta Malla Baruah becomes minister after two decades

NALBARI: The people of 59 LAC, Nalbari are overwhelmed after the swearing-in ceremony of new cabinet ministers on Thursday at Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra.

After a long wait of more than two decades, finally an MLA of 59 LAC has been sworn in as minister. The last minister from this LAC was Nagen Sarma during the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) government.

Jayanta Malla Baruah, the MLA of the 59 LAC, was sworn as minister of the Public Health Engineering Department, Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department and Tourism Department, on Thursday. The people of his LAC are anticipating a lot from their new minister.
