MLA Paramananda Rajbongshi Distributes Essential Items (Ration) among the Poor in Kalaigaon

KALAIGAON: MLA Paramananda Rajbongshi distributed around 300 packets of ration free of cost to daily wage labourers and poor people on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Khairul Islam, secretary of BJP Minority Morcha.

The ration was distributed through Mudaibari Territorial Council Constituency and Harishinga Territorial Council Constituency in the greater Kalaigaon LAC area. Each packet of ration contained 5 kg rice, 1kg dal, 2 kg potato, 5,500 gm salt and 500 ml mustard oil.

The MLA also visited the site of damaged embankment of Noa River at Geruwa under Kalaigaon revenue circle which was ravaged by floods in 2019. He told media persons that he had asked the department concerned to take necessary action immediately. Moreover, the people living nearby the embankment said that unless the damaged embankment was repaired soon, many areas would be inundated this year too. Rajbongshi assured the people of necessary help.
