Mock drill on disaster risk reduction programme conducted in Bokakhat

GOLAGHAT: A one-day mock drill on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) programme was conducted recently at Borchapori TE LP School and Borchapori Tea Garden under Bokakhat Revenue Circle in Bokakhat.

Mock drill on Disaster Risk Reduction programme was conducted in association with All India Tea Association (ABITA), a UNICEF partnership project and Civil Defence, Golaghat. The participants were trained on basic first aid and rescue techniques, fire safety measures, emergency management for snake bites, and making improvised stretchers. The programme was attended by the Field Officer (DM), Assistant Deputy Controller (Jr.) of Civil Defence, Golaghat, District Coordinator of ABITA, Golaghat, officials from Borchapori TE, teachers and students of Borchapori TE LP School, and CQRT volunteers.
