Morigaon district administration declared dry day on Dec 16, 17, 19

JAGIROAD: The district administration, Morigaon declared dry day on December 16, December 17 and December 19 on account of the Tiwa Autonomous Council election scheduled to be held on December 17.

In a press release issued by the district information and public relation officer, it was stated that the Tiwa election would be held in 18 council constituencies out of 36 in the district of Morigaon on December 17 and counting would be done on December 19. In this regard the district administration prohibited selling of wholesale and retail sale of any liquor in the district. Violation of the order will cost penalty as per Assam Excise Rule 2016 and 2020.
