Morigaon youth comes up with a machine for maize farmers

MORIGAON: By making a fuel-free machine for maize cultivation, a youth named Udhab Deuri has brought a ray of hope for the farmers of Morigaon district.

UdhabDeuri makes fuel-free machines for planting maize seeds. The machines will reduce the farmers' work load while planting maize seeds in the agricultural fields. Udhab is an inhabitant of Dighalbori GP under Bhurbandha Block of the district. He has made the machine from iron and solid waste. Before this, he had made a seed plantation machine which reduced the work load of farmers during Sali cultivation.

Every year, maize cultivation is done in the char areas, in Baralimari and Bhuragaon in the district. The farmers engaged in maize cultivation can now buy the machine at a cheap rate and plant maize seeds in upto two bighas of land every day.
